2021 Bronze OBIE Award Winner

 

With the devastating fires sweeping across parts of Australia, we wanted to spread awareness and share ways to help. In collaboration with the Outdoor Media Alliance (OMA) in Australia, our OUTFRONT Studios team provided creative support in OAAA’s distribution of digital out of home PSAs seeking donations to WIRES Australian Wildlife Rescue Organization.

In my designs, the direct messaging and play on words of “Help AUS”, was a powerful way to represent the country as a whole, as well as all those being personally affected - from the people being displaced to the devastated wildlife populations.

The emphasis on “US” puts a personal perspective on the situation. We wanted the message to be bold because of the urgency of the ongoing disaster. Whether using the recognizable imagery of a koala to represent Australia or using a simplified graphic of the country, the main goal was to give a voice to our friends in need.
