Self Portrait

The first self portrait was created on Procreate in 2021 as a way to get back to my fine art roots and reflect on the whirlwind of a year that was 2020. It was a way for me to just create and capture my mood at the moment.

The second piece was something I made in college. Using charcoal on gray charcoal paper, this self portrait was created with contrast and composition in mind. I set up the composition to show perspective through the position of my figure as well as the couch I am seated on. The lighting was also important for me to create directional light from the window and a soft atmosphere.
